The River Teme, Powick

Lower Teme
The river Teme is well known throughout the country for producing specimen barbel and quality chub and roach fishing. Our water on the Lower Teme is considered to be one of the best stretches on the river for producing large barbel. Other species that are commonly encountered are pike, bream, roach, perch and eels. The water extends to approximately one and a half mile
The entrance to the water downstream from the Old Powick Bridge is via the stile located at the rear of the car park adjacent to the Old Bridge. Members must not gain access to the water using Bennetts Farm Dairy entrance. All cars and motor cycles must be parked on the car park provided or near the Old Bridge.
The entrance to the water upstream from the Old Powick Bridge is via the entrance off the Old Bridge, by the bungalow. Vehicles must not be parked in this lane. The top boundary to this water is the end of the second meadow above the weir. One entrance for the water above the bridge, is the gate opposite the bungalow entrance. The other entrance for the water below the weir and above the mill stream is to continue along the lane and over the gate.
